A New Hitty

I would like to introduce you to a new Hitty! She is as sweet as can be. Her name has been decided, she will be called Hitty Laura.  She will be leaving soon to go to her new home. She hopes the new home will love her as much as she has been loved the short time she has been here.

I wish I had more time to get to know her but some things can’t be helped. I know I can have contact with her. We will be writing back and forth for a long time.

Without further ado… Here is Hitty Laura.

I was sitting there reading a book and there came Tina with a new Hitty to introduce us to. Her name has been decided already, Hitty Laura. She will not be living here, she has a home that was decided before she was brought out of the wood. She is very pretty. And has the sweetest personality. I hope to learn more about her before she leaves on the trip to her new home. I will also get a group picture made when she has proper clothes made. I am happy to see the family of Hitty’s growing.  Tina also said, We would have another Hitty coming to live with us.” I hear she has an Amish background. I will have to study more on that. I know a little but not enough. We will make her welcome and take her right in though. Her name is Hitty Mary.

Well for today, I have to get away from the keyboard and do a little more planning and packing for the day of moving. Thankfully it won’t be a far away move, just into another room.

I was in a cheerful mood, until I saw the sawdust all over the floor this morning. Tommy had put in the window moldings and done a little sanding and left this mess for me.  I found the broom and got to work. Now I have to wait for the window panes to be installed and the shingles to be delivered.  There is only the outside work to be done now. I am getting really anxious to get moved in. I hear there is more furnishings to be made.  I will share a picture of me sweeping and in it you can get a glimpse of the front door. I just love this door. I was worried for a while that I would end up with a false door. Thankfully, I got the door of my dreams.. I can open it and let in a little fresh air.. weather permitting.

I would like to take the time to introduce Miss Hickory. She is so delicate and ladylike (A  trite on the grumpy side also). We met her the other day, and she was a little quiet but taking in what there was about the roombox. She slowly opened up and began talking. She went on about the roombox would be hers as soon as we moved into our new home. She is quite the character. We have a cockatiel bird in our larger room and she was a little upset that other forest creatures might live nearby also. I explained that he had a name( Buddy) and was rather old, and that no other creatures live in the big house.

We talked a lot about nothing in particular, mostly how we came to live here. About the Little House in process, and how it is taking a rather long while to get it finished. By the way we now have a front door. The windows should be going in soon. After that all finishing work will be on the outside. Maybe we will be in it for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Without further ado, I share with you, the meeting of a friend.. Molly, myself and Edith Abigail( in the chair) and the itty bitty in pink standing in front of the chair(no name yet) meeting MIss Hickory.

A meeting of new friends

A meeting of new friends

I did forget to mention another friend who happened to be there… She is so quiet that you have the tendency to forget she is around. Her name is June. (She’s the one with the hat). She refuses to be seen without that hat. I can’t imagine how it would be to always  wear something upon my head.

I am going to oversee the Little House construction now, so until next time…

Have a great day!

I thought I would share a few photo’s  of Hitty Molly and I as we took a tour of the house this morning.

This is the downstairs bedroom

This is the downstairs bedroom

The downstairs bedroom may become the parlor/sitting room. I just think I need a large kitchen.

First time up the ladder.

First time up the ladder.

I was so nervous Hitty Molly might tumble backwards, but she made it safely.  I can’t wait to get everything into place. The roombox is a little tight for me. And Miss Hickory should be arriving soon and she will need to have the roombox for her home.

One more picture and it is the attic bedroom. I think we will be able to fit another cot up there. We need to think about this one a bit more.

Here we are in our bedroom.

Here we are in our bedroom.

I hope you have enjoyed the newest pictures. We are off now to plan out the next step. Tommy has been a big help and he thinks he may have to build a couple more homes in the near future.  Until next time….. Hitty Hugs, Ernestina and the Rockbottom Hitty’s

I heard Bianca ask Tina (Naynah) if she would make some Chocolate No Bake Cookies… And you know she couldn’t say no to her. She helped to stir the ingredients and then disappeared out the door behind her Poppa. She is a sweet little girl. She seems so gentle when holding me and Molly.

We Hitty’s and Bitty’s had to have a picture of the cookies with us looking on, they look so tempting. I will share with you a picture of these very cookies. And if anyone wants the recipe, Let me know… I can get it from Tina for you. They are very quick and simple… Just don’t make them when the humidity is high… They don’t set up very well.

Yummy!!

Yummy!!

In the above picture, we are left to right, Molly, me Ernestina, Edith Abigail, and Itty Bitty Hitty (No Name yet) she is very shy. We almost didn’t talk her into a picture with us. Now don’t those cookies look just yummy.

Have a blessed day.
